Working of EPDM Rubber Seat Butterfly Valve

The valve’s disc rotates on a central stem within the wafer-type body to control flow. In the open position, the disc aligns with the pipe bore for minimal flow resistance. To close, the disc rotates a quarter-turn, pressing firmly against the EPDM rubber seat to form a tight seal. Operation is done manually via lever for quick on-off control, or via gear operator for smoother actuation in larger valve sizes.
