Working of Slide Gate Valve

The Slide Gate Valve operates by sliding a flat gate plate horizontally across the flow path, typically installed beneath a hopper or silo outlet. When open, the gate retracts, allowing bulk solids to flow freely through the port. To close, the gate slides back across the opening, cutting off material flow completely. This action can be driven manually via hand wheel or chain wheel, or automated using a pneumatic cylinder or electric actuator for remote control.
