Working of Ball Float Steam Trap

As condensate accumulates inside the steam trap body, it raises the internal float ball. This rising motion lifts a lever mechanism connected to the discharge valve, opening it to release the condensate while steam pressure keeps the valve closed to live steam. As the condensate level drops, the float lowers and the valve closes again, maintaining a continuous, self-regulating discharge cycle that removes water without allowing steam to escape.
