Lift Type Non Return Valve

Allied’s Lift up Non Return valves in common with all Non Return Valve, are used to prevent backflow in the line, and operate automatically, according to increases or decreases in line pressures. Flow through a Lift up Non Return Valve is the same as a globe valve. The disc raises up off of the seat as pressure below the disc increases, while a drop in pressure on the inlet side and a build-up of pressure on the outlet side causes the valve to close. Back pressure in the line holds the disc in the closed position.

What is a Lift Type Non Return Valve?

A Lift Type Non Return Valve is a forged, bolted-cover non return valve that prevents backflow in the pipeline, operating automatically based on rising or falling line pressure. Flow through the valve follows the same path as a globe valve, with the disc lifting off its seat as pressure below it increases. Working of Lift Type Non Return Valve

As pressure builds on the inlet side, it lifts the disc up off its seat, allowing fluid to flow through the valve in a path similar to a globe valve. If pressure drops on the inlet side or builds up on the outlet side, the disc drops back down and seals against the seat, blocking reverse flow. Back pressure in the line then holds the disc firmly in the closed position until forward pressure resumes.
